Smoothies are a delicious, healthy treat that boosts up the immune system. This occurs due to the presence of the nutrients and enzymes that can be found in the fruits and vegetables that are used to make your drink. When you create a low fat smoothie, you will receive instant nutrition, which can be easily absorbed into the body’s system because the fruits have been broken down to be easily digestible.

Another advantage to making low-fat smoothies, is that they fill a dieter up with water, as well as energy. The fruit juices in the smoothies help to speed up your body’s metabolism. There are plenty of books that offer a variety of smoothie recipes, such as Slim Smoothies: Over 130 Healthy and Energizing Recipes Without All the Calories  by Donna Pliner Rodnitzky and Super Smoothies: 50 Recipes for Every Lifestyle by Mary Corpening Barber.
